The Mooresville-Lake Norman Christian Mission is the oldest local non-profit in the Lake Norman area. We have been serving local families in need for over 76 years. Currently we serve over 5,500 families with the goal to give our clients the skills, tools, education and support to rise above their circumstance and become self-sufficient. Independence is the key to success for these families and their children.

All services we offer are free to our clients and include crisis management, food pantry with mini- market setting, resource store and educational programs, job skills and mentoring.

At the Mission we work off Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs theory. First stabilizing the family by meeting basic needs like food, shelter and clothing, then we move into assisting clients with educational classes, job skills, mentorship and support as they follow a plan they have created to become independent and make a better life. Our programs include Getting Ahead, the Lake Norman Circles Initiative, and our H2H Transitional Housing Program.

To date, the Executive Women of Lake Norman have orchestrated a food and clothing drives, served as panel guests for the Lake Norman Circles Initiative, and assisted with general fundraising.
