Lisa graduated from Francis Marion College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business in 1989. After she and Rob were married, they moved to Conway, SC where Rob was a Commercial Agent for a direct insurance writer. Lisa started in the insurance business in 1990 as a Customer Service Representative while also working as a paralegal at the law firm where Rob rented office space. Rob & Lisa did this for 6 years until they had an opportunity to open their own agency in Charlotte.
When they moved to Charlotte in 1995, their daughter was 3 years old and Lisa was 6 months pregnant with their son. They opened Summit Insurance Group out of their two-bedroom apartment, then moved it to their house for 3 years. Rob handled all the commercial business and Lisa handled customer service, personal lines and the management.
They bought their first office in 1998, and grew the company to 5 people. In 2002, they moved to their current location and now there are 11 total employees. Lisa is now in more of a management role but continues to help with the personal lines department.
Lisa enjoys spending time with her daughter, now 23 and son, now 19. She loves to workout, run and play tennis. She is a member of the Executive Women of Lake Norman, CCBIA (Cabarrus County Building Industry Association) and NARI (National Association of Remodelers Industry.)
