In August 2009 I established The Learning Curve. Since I have assisted hundreds of students with college planning, SAT and ACT preparation and math and science tutoring. I was an ambassador for the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce and a 2004 Leadership graduate. I have done charitable work for the Barium Springs Home for Children and am the founder of The Afghan Women’s Education Project, a non-profit dedicated to educating Afghan Women. I currently send or assist 4 young women attending college here in the United States. I have a Bachelors of Science in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island and a Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certification from Framingham State College in Massachusetts. While attending graduate school I worked as a civilian microbiologist at the U.S. Army Natick Research Laboratory.
